Thoughnotcancer,benignprostatichyperplasia(BPH)cancauseanumberofproblemswhichhaveramificationsthroughthegenitourinarysystem.BPHischaracterisedbyfrequenturination,nocturia(gettingupatnighttogotothetoilet),nocturesis(bedwetting),hesitancyinurination,decreasedforceofurinarystream,post-voidingdribbling,andasensationofin 良性前列腺肥大虽然不是癌症，但是却会造成很多泌尿道系统的问题，例如频尿、夜尿、尿床、排尿困难、排尿无力、尿后涓滴与尿不干净(1)。在严重的情况下，还会造成尿道、直肠阻塞，如果没有正确处理还可能会造成永久的肾脏伤害。
